🏊♂️ Prepare with Purpose - This 44-week Half Distance Triathlon Training Plan is built to help you master the stunning Alghero course—from the calm emerald waters of San Giovanni Beach to the rolling 90 km ride through the Porto Conte Natural Park and the coastal run along the Old Town harbor. Each session mirrors the real race environment, ensuring you’re ready for every transition, climb, and stride.
🔥 Phase 1 — Foundation for Success
The first 12 weeks establish your endurance base, enhancing aerobic capacity and swim technique for Alghero’s sheltered bay start. You’ll build efficient stroke rhythm, confident sighting, and sustainable pacing in cool spring-temperature waters (≈18 °C).
🚴♀️ Phase 2 — Specific Strength & Speed
Over 32 weeks, the plan sharpens your strength and speed for Alghero’s undulating 850 m bike elevation. Structured heart-rate / power sessions target endurance climbs and tempo efforts mirroring the scenic coastal roads. You’ll develop resilience through progressive brick workouts that simulate the fast transition from the Mediterranean bike leg to the seaside run.

Three-loop brick and threshold sessions replicate Alghero’s flat-to-rolling seafront run. By race day, you’ll sustain pace while enjoying the town’s energy and panoramic sea views.
