You already know the commitment it takes to race at the Half Distance Triathlon level—but San Salvador offers a course that rewards preparation at the highest level. The race begins with a 1.9 km swim in the clear waters of Lake Ilopango, framed by volcanic cliffs. From there, the rolling 90 km bike course along the Pan-American Highway calls for sustained power and smart pacing. The day ends with a challenging 21 km run through the heart of the city—two hilly laps surrounded by energy, history, and the roar of the crowd.

This 36-week Masters-focused training plan is engineered to give experienced athletes over 40 the edge they need—not just to complete the race, but to perform at their peak.
