The Half Distance Triathlon San Salvador offers a race experience like no other — a 1.9 km swim in the serene, volcanic waters of Lake Ilopango, a 90 km rolling bike ride along the legendary Pan-American Highway, and a 21 km hilly run through the vibrant streets of San Salvador. Our Intermediate 36-week Half Distance Triathlon Training Plan prepares you to excel on this stunning yet challenging course with precision, confidence, and peak fitness.

✅ Open Water Swim Readiness – Structured swim sessions build your strength, technique, and endurance so you can handle the calm but deceptively long Lake Ilopango course with efficiency and speed.
✅ Climbing Power on the Bike – Targeted tempo rides, and power-based intervals prepare your legs for the steady climbs and rolling terrain of the Pan-American Highway.
✅ Hilly Run Endurance – Progressive brick workouts and threshold runs mimic the two-lap, elevation-changing run route, ensuring you hold strong pace while the streets heat up with urban energy.
✅ Peak Performance Timing – A proven 3:1 load-to-recovery cycle aligns your peak with race day, minimizing fatigue and maximizing race readiness.
