This Half Distance Triathlon Puerto Varas Chile Training Plan is designed specifically for Masters athletes 40+, preparing you for the stunning swim, bike, and run courses of Lake Llanquihue and the Osorno Volcano. The 44-week plan builds endurance, strength, and race-specific skills, ensuring you are fully prepared for every segment of the Half Distance Triathlon.

🏊 Swim Preparation – The calm, fresh waters of Lake Llanquihue require efficient technique and sustained effort. Our plan emphasizes swim drills, stroke refinement, and endurance building to help you complete the 1.9km loop confidently.

🚴 Bike Readiness – With 90km along gentle flat terrain and rolling ascents up to 788 meters, the plan’s brick workouts, interval sessions, and long rides mimic the lakefront views and rural climbs of Puerto Varas. You’ll develop pacing strategies and leg endurance essential for the scenic yet challenging course.

🏃 Run Conditioning – The 21km three-loop run along Puerto Varas’ city streets and lakeside Costanera demands a combination of stamina and hill readiness.
