The Middle Distance Triathlon Florianópolis Brazil offers warm sunrise waters at Jurerê Internacional, a flat and fast 90 km coastal bike ride, and a lively three-loop run to the finish. This 44-week Intermediate Training Plan is built to prepare you for every element of this iconic race—so you arrive confident, conditioned, and ready to perform.
✅ Strong Swim Start – Begin with structured open-water sessions and targeted technique drills to thrive in calm, warm ocean conditions. Build pace for a fast 1.9 km swim and practice sighting for a smooth mass start.
✅ Bike Speed & Endurance – The largely flat, scenic 90 km course demands sustained power with bursts to handle coastal winds. Our plan integrates progressive tempo rides, race-specific intervals, and brick sessions to sharpen your ability to transition seamlessly to the run.
✅ Run with Strength & Energy – The flat, three-loop 21.1 km run rewards pacing strategy. You’ll master controlled race effort with threshold workouts, negative-split runs, and fatigue-resistance training to keep your stride strong all the way to the electric finish line.
✅ Progressive Structure – 12-week base phase to build aerobic endurance, followed by a 32-week race-specific phase peaking at 14 hours/week, ensuring steady adaptation and peak readiness.
