Step onto the start line in Barcelona fully prepared with a structured 36-week Middle Distance Triathlon training plan built for beginners yet powerful enough to elevate any athlete. This program is designed to match the unique swim, bike, and run conditions of the Barcelona course — from the calm waters of Mar Bella Beach to the flat, fast roads to Mataró and the scenic coastal run past Nova Icària Beach.

🏊 Swim Ready for Mar Bella Beach – Develop efficient stroke mechanics with video-guided drills and progressive open-water practice. Build endurance to power through the 1.9 km single-lap swim, whether wetsuit legal or not.

🚴 Bike Strong on the N-II Highway – Structured cycling sessions prepare you for the 88 km ride, with its smooth flats, scenic sea views, and the short 800m Cabrera de Mar climb. Indoor and outdoor workouts focus on sustained speed, controlled efforts, and hill strength for a fast split.

🏃 Run Fast Along the Promenade – The 21.1 km flat, coastal run demands consistent pacing. Tempo runs, brick sessions, and targeted endurance work help you maintain speed across all three laps while enjoying Barcelona’s vibrant crowd support.

✅ Phase 1 – 12 Weeks Foundation: Build aerobic capacity, core strength, and technique.
✅ Phase 2 – 24 Weeks Specific Prep: Increase weekly volume from 7 to 12 hours, add brick workouts, refine race pacing, and improve transitions.
✅ Full Support: Strength training videos, RPE/Heart Rate guidance, and personalized email coach support to keep you on track.
