Plan Description
The Middle Distance Triathlon in Peguera Mallorca offers an unforgettable race experience—two laps in the turquoise waters of Torà Beach, a challenging 90 km bike course through picturesque villages and along the Serra de la Tramuntana mountains, and a fast, spectator-packed run through the heart of Peguera’s boulevard and boardwalk. Our 36-week beginner triathlon training plan is built to prepare you for every turn, climb, and stride of this incredible event.
From your first session to race day, this plan builds your endurance, strength, and confidence in all three disciplines—without requiring previous race experience or a minimum fitness base.
✅ 12-Week Foundation Phase – Develop swim efficiency with video-based technique drills, build aerobic endurance, and establish a strong bike and run base using structured RPE/heart-rate-based sessions. Perfect for mastering the calm-but-technical Torà Beach swim and preparing for sustained climbs early in the bike course.
✅ 24-Week Race-Specific Phase – Gradually progress from 7 to 12 training hours per week, incorporating tempo rides, open-water simulations, and progressive brick workouts to mirror race-day conditions. Ideal for handling the technical descents, 500 m elevation per lap, and the flat-yet-varied surfaces on the run course.
✅ Strength & Conditioning Sessions – Follow easy-to-understand videos targeting core stability, functional mobility, and injury prevention—helping you maintain form on the final laps of the run along Peguera’s bustling boulevard.
✅ Race-Ready Strategy – Practice fueling, pacing, and transition skills so you arrive at the start line confident, prepared, and ready to perform at your best in the Middle Distance Triathlon or even as a stepping stone toward a Full Distance Triathlon.
