The Middle Distance Triathlon in Vieux Boucau, France offers a spectacular yet fast course — a smooth, 1.9 km point-to-point swim in a sheltered saltwater lake, a flat and rapid 90 km ride through pine forests and charming Landes villages, and a four-lap 21 km run around the marine lake with roaring crowd support. This training plan is built to help you thrive on race day, taking full advantage of the course’s speed potential while preparing you for every physical and mental challenge.

🎯 Start Strong, Build Steadily – No prior base training required. The plan begins with a 12-week foundation phase, boosting endurance and confidence before you advance into the race-specific build.

🚀 Race-Specific Conditioning – Over the next 32 weeks, you’ll develop the sustained power needed for the flat bike leg, efficient pacing for multi-lap runs, and the open-water swim skills to glide smoothly in calm saltwater conditions. Weekly hours progress from 9 to a peak of 14, balancing intensity and recovery.
