The calm saltwater swim, fast and flat bike loop, and four-lap lakeside run demand more than general fitness—they require a race-specific strategy built on targeted endurance, controlled intensity, and course-adapted skills.

This 24-week Middle Distance Triathlon training plan, crafted for competitive Masters athletes over 40, is your structured pathway to peak performance. Using progressive periodization, it blends endurance, strength, and speed so you’re ready for every segment of Vieux Boucau’s unique course.
