Racing the Middle Distance Triathlon Sanremo demands more than fitness—it requires course-specific preparation that blends endurance, climbing strength, bike handling skills, and sustained speed. This 24-week program is designed for experienced triathletes aged 60 and over, aligning perfectly with the unique demands of Sanremo’s spectacular but challenging course.

The Ligurian Sea’s calm but salty waters call for efficient open-water technique and sighting skills—built here through structured swim sets and video-based stroke drills. The 17 km climb to Passo Ghimbegna and the technical Poggio di Sanremo descent demand climbing resilience and confident descending—developed through progressive bike workouts, strength training for power, and cadence drills for control. The flat, fast run along the Sanremo–Ospedaletti pathway, including the Capo Nero tunnel, is supported by threshold runs and race-pace intervals to keep you steady from first stride to finish chute.
