Step into your first Middle Distance Triathlon with confidence and clarity. This 36-week beginner-friendly training plan is built to prepare you for the stunning, yet challenging, course in Samarkand, Uzbekistan — from the pure mountain waters of the rowing center to the rolling countryside bike loop and the vibrant run inside Silk Road Samarkand. No prior racing experience required — just the commitment to follow the plan and cross the finish line strong.

✅ Swim Preparedness: The single-lap 1.9 km swim takes place in crystal-clear mountain water. Our early weeks focus on foundational swim skills with technique videos, breathing drills, and endurance sets so you’re ready for a smooth, confident start from the pier.

🚴 Bike Strength for Rolling Terrain: The 88 km single-loop ride includes steady rollers, ancient landmarks, and open countryside. Structured bike workouts based on RPE/Heart Rate build climbing strength, sustained power, and the endurance needed to hold pace from start to finish.

🏃 Run Endurance & Pacing: The four-lap 21.5 km run through the modern Silk Road Samarkand complex demands steady pacing and mental focus. Our progressive run sessions, brick workouts, and tempo runs prepare your legs to perform off the bike and keep energy consistent lap after lap.

💪 Full-Body Strength Training: Weekly strength sessions with guided video instruction enhance stability, prevent injuries, and improve efficiency in all three disciplines.

📈 Progressive Structure:

12-Week Foundation Phase: Build aerobic base, refine technique, and establish consistency.

24-Week Race-Specific Phase: Gradually increase training from 7 to 12 hours per week, integrating longer endurance sessions, race-pace efforts, and open-water swim practice.
