The Middle Distance Triathlon Gunsan Korea features a 1.9 km two-lap swim in calm Yellow Sea waters, a 90 km four-lap bike on the world’s longest seawall, and a flat, fast 21.1 km three-lap run along a scenic waterfront. Our 44-week Middle Distance Triathlon training plan is designed for Masters athletes 40+, offering progressive endurance, strength, and race readiness tailored to this course.

✔️ Swim Prep for Calm, Sheltered Waters
The 12-week base phase develops swim technique and endurance for smooth, efficient strokes in protected waters. Video-guided drills help you pace confidently around marked buoys.

✔️ Bike Training for Long, Flat Sea Wall
The 90 km bike demands sustained power and alertness for coastal winds. The triathlon-specific phase includes VO₂ max and anaerobic intervals plus brick workouts to sharpen pacing and race transitions.
