Our Middle Distance Triathlon Turku Finland Training Plan is expertly designed to prepare you for the unique demands of this scenic and challenging race. The course features a 1.9 km rolling start swim upstream and downstream in the Aura River, a 90 km bike segment over three loops including city roads and the E18 highway, and a four-lap 21.1 km run through the city center finishing at Varvintori Square. This plan mirrors the race’s specific demands, ensuring you’re race-ready from swim to run.

The plan’s swim workouts build endurance and technique to handle the rolling start and upstream currents. Practicing sustained swims and speed intervals equips you to manage the river’s unique flow and maintain pace amid race-day crowds and spectators.

You’ll develop the stamina and power needed for the 90 km bike ride, including sustained efforts on flat highway sections and variable terrain through the countryside.
