This 44-week Half Distance Triathlon training plan is designed specifically to prepare you for the unique demands of the Dallas–Little Elm course—one of Texas’ most scenic and athlete-friendly races.

🏊 Swim Ready for Lewisville Lake
With a likely wetsuit-legal swim in cooler March waters, our plan includes early acclimatization to open water sessions, wetsuit-specific swim drills, and progressive endurance sets. You’ll build confidence for the 1.2-mile loop, starting and finishing at Little Elm Beach.

🚴 Crush the Rural Texas Bike Course
The 56-mile bike course north of Little Elm rolls through smooth, rural roads—free of chip seal. Our bike sessions are structured by heart rate and power zones, simulating the long, steady efforts and gentle inclines of this fast course. Long weekend rides, brick sessions, and race-day simulations ensure you're ready to hold speed and efficiency on excellent road surfaces.

🏃 Dialed-In for the Trail System Run
The flat, crushed gravel 13.9-mile run through the Little Elm nature trail system demands rhythm and pacing over three loops. Your training plan includes run workouts on mixed terrain, pacing strategy, and mental strength development—ideal for spectator-packed loops and community support zones.
