Prepare to race your best on one of the most scenic and historic Half Distance Triathlon courses in the world—Gallipoli. With its open-water swim, hilly bike terrain, and coastal run route, this event demands well-rounded fitness, mental grit, and smart progression. Our 44-week Intermediate Half Distance Triathlon Training Plan gives you the edge—every step of the way.

🌊 Dominate the Open Water Swim
The plan starts with a 12-week base phase, perfect for building swim endurance and confidence in open water. The swim at Gallipoli begins off the Old Gendarmerie Pier in cool 20°C (68°F) waters. You'll be ready for that single-loop bay swim with targeted drills, swim-focused strength sessions, and exclusive technique videos.

🚴 Climb Strong on the Gallipoli Hills
With nearly 900m of elevation gain, including the infamous Conkbayiri Hill, this 90 km bike demands climbing strength and endurance. Our plan incorporates VO2 max intervals, sustained tempo rides, and hill simulation workouts to condition your legs for the early rollers and the punishing climbs of the second half. Power-based and heart rate-based sessions ensure you're training at the right intensity.
