This 36-week Intermediate Half Distance Triathlon Training Plan is expertly designed to prepare you for the unique challenges of racing on Sir Bani Yas Island — one of the most breathtaking triathlon venues in the world. The crystal-clear, protected waters of the Arabian Gulf demand open water confidence and swim endurance. Our training includes progressive open water sessions, swim-specific strength, and tempo work to sharpen your technique and stamina for the 1.9KM loop.

✅ Build Power for the Fast—but Sneaky—Bike Course
The 96KM bike course is smooth and flat but includes leg-testing climbs up to 100m elevation. We’ve built in strength-endurance rides, long tempo sessions, and specific hill intervals to help you conquer those inter-island connectors without breaking your rhythm — all while simulating the race-day effort.

✅ Run Strong Along the Coastline
The final 21.1KM flat run is where mental grit meets physical preparation. Multiple loops through the energetic race village mean spectators and hydration are never far. Our plan uses brick workouts, race-pace intervals, and steady-state long runs to boost your muscular endurance and help you finish strong.
