The Half Distance Triathlon Bahrain features a fast, flat, and spectator-friendly course—ideal for a breakthrough performance. This structured Half Distance Triathlon Training Plan is specifically designed to prepare competitive Masters athletes over 40 for every challenge you’ll face on race day.

🌊 Swim – 1.9 km in Open Saltwater
Train confidently for Bahrain’s one-loop "L"-shaped swim off Reef Island. The plan includes:
✅ Technique-focused swim drills to boost efficiency
✅ Weekly open water simulation sets to build confidence
✅ RPE, heart rate, and pacing guidance to mirror race conditions in 73°F (23°C) water

🚴 Bike – 90 km of Iconic Sights & Speed
Bahrain’s single-lap bike course is fast and exposed, with long stretches past landmarks like the World Trade Centre and Bahrain International Circuit. You’ll be ready with:
✅ Endurance rides to build sustained aerobic power
✅ VO₂ max intervals for headwind and surge scenarios
