This 36-week Half Distance Triathlon training plan for senior triathletes 60+ is your personalized roadmap to race day success on one of the most scenic and rewarding courses in the world. Specifically designed for older athletes, the plan prepares your body and mind for the unique demands of the Riviera Nayarit Half Distance Triathlon—so you’re not just ready to finish, but ready to thrive.

🌊 Swim – Calm Pacific Waters:
With progressive swim workouts and video-based technique drills, you’ll build comfort and confidence for the 1.9 km ocean swim. Early sessions emphasize form and efficiency, ideal for the calm, clear Pacific entry.

🚴 Bike – Rolling Tropical Terrain:
The structured endurance rides, strength training, and brick workouts simulate the rolling 90 km bike leg through coastal roads and villages. Power- and heart-rate based sessions help you handle elevation changes and maintain a steady output over scenic but varied terrain.

🏃 Run – Oceanfront Trails:
The final 21.1 km includes shaded and open sections—just like our intervals, tempo runs, and neuromuscular drills that condition you for a strong, steady finish under tropical skies.
