The Half Distance Triathlon Acapulco Mexico is an exciting challenge: a 1.9 km swim in warm, clear waters, a rolling 90 km bike with climbs, and a fast, flat 21 km run in tropical heat. This Half Distance Triathlon training plan is designed especially for Masters athletes 40+ to help you prepare smartly and confidently for race day.

This 36-week plan starts with a 12-week base phase to rebuild your aerobic fitness and strength, perfect if you’re returning after a break or stepping up from shorter races. It sets a strong foundation for the demands of the Half Distance Triathlon course.
