The journey begins with a 12-week base phase that lays the groundwork. You’ll build cardiovascular endurance, strengthen key muscle groups, and improve your swim technique with structured drills and video-guided swim sessions. Duisburg’s 1.9 km swim in the calm waters of the Sportpark Duisburg regatta course becomes less intimidating when you’ve trained with a plan built for confidence in the water.
Next, the plan transitions into a focused 24-week Half Distance Triathlon-specific phase, progressing from 7 to 12 hours of weekly training. This phase is where endurance meets strategy:
