The Half Distance Triathlon Zell am See-Kaprun offers a one-lap swim through the crystal-clear waters of Lake Zell, a challenging alpine bike course with a 1,280 m summit, and a fast, scenic run along the lakeshore and through Zell’s old town. This isn't just any race—it’s a test of endurance, strength, and strategy.
Our 44-Week Half Distance Triathlon Beginner Training Plan is specifically designed to prepare you—mentally and physically—for every part of the Zell am See-Kaprun course. With a two-phase structure (12-week base + 32-week specific race prep), you’ll build a rock-solid foundation before dialing in race-specific skills that match the demands of this iconic event.

You’ll develop efficient stroke mechanics and open water confidence through structured drills and technique-focused swim workouts, perfect for mastering the single-lap course across chilly alpine waters (17–23 °C / 63–73 °F).
