This Beginner's Six-Month Half Distance Triathlon Plan is designed specifically to help you train effectively for the terrain, conditions, and demands of Vichyโs race day.

You'll train for a calm, freshwater lake swim in warm temperatures (24โ26ยฐC). The plan incorporates open-water simulation sessions, swim drills for stroke efficiency, and endurance sets to prepare for the single-loop format and sighting practice to help with navigation in a rectangular course.

The bike course in Vichy features rolling countryside, fast flats, and moderate climbs like the Cรดte de Saint-Antoine de Cusset, with a total elevation gain of around 700m.
