🏊 Swim: Point-to-Point Canal Course
The race swim takes you from the beach into the Vendée Globe canal—a unique point-to-point route with current and navigation considerations. This plan includes:
✅ Video-based swim drills to refine open-water technique and build comfort in unfamiliar settings
✅ Progressive swim volume to develop aerobic endurance and confidence over the full swim distance
✅ Skills for pacing and sighting—critical in a point-to-point format where swimming off course can cost you time and energy

🚴 Bike: 91 km Coastal and Rural Loop
With 600 meters of elevation gain and mixed terrain through forests, marshes, and coastal winds, this course demands strength, stamina, and smart pacing. The plan supports this with:
✅ Power- and heart rate-based workouts to train at the right intensity for each terrain
✅ Threshold and hill sessions that replicate race effort and prepare your legs for long climbs and rolling terrain
✅ Brick workouts to improve your bike-to-run transitions, especially after longer or hillier rides
