🌄 Tailored for the Ruidoso Course Conditions
This structured plan prepares you for the specific terrain and demands of the Ruidoso course—clear, cool water, steep climbs, mountain weather, and uneven footing on the run.

✅ Grindstone Lake Swim Ready: You’ll build comfort and endurance for two-lap open water swims through weekly structured drills and longer sets. Open water simulation workouts help prepare for cooler temps and altitude.

✅ Climb-Ready Cycling: Ruidoso’s bike course features sustained elevation gains. Our plan includes power- and heart rate-based interval rides, long endurance sessions, and hill-specific workouts to condition your legs for the challenging out-and-back ride to Hondo.

✅ Mountain-Run Conditioning: With 13.1 miles through villages and varying terrain, your run training emphasizes progressive long runs, tempo efforts, and recovery pacing. Brick workouts build run durability off the bike.
