✅ Swim: The 1.2-mile swim begins at the Finger Lakes Welcome Center, where athletes enjoy clear, temperate waters (avg. 72°F / 22°C) and minimal sun glare.

✅ Bike: A 56-mile ride ascends from Seneca Lake to Cayuga Lake before descending rapidly back into the valley. Expect sustained climbs, technical descents, and open countryside.

✅ Run: The 13.1-mile course features two loops along the lakefront and through Hobart and William Smith College. Air temps average a comfortable 70°F (21°C), but pacing is critical.

To meet the specific demands of this course, we offer the Half Distance Triathlon Masters 40+ – 36-Week Training Plan—a structured, endurance-focused program built for age-group athletes seeking a smart, progressive path to peak performance.
