Set against the dramatic backdrop of Kronborg Castle—the setting for Shakespeare’s Hamlet—the Half Distance Triathlon Elsinore is one of Europe’s most scenic and historic races. Your 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim unfolds in the Elsinore Harbour, with cool 63°F (17°C) waters. From there, ride 90 km along Northern Sealand’s stunning coastline, past forests and seafront vistas near Hornbæk. The fast, rolling course is built for speed. Finally, charge through a vibrant 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run with 3.5 loops through Elsinore’s medieval center, cheered on by thousands of spectators.
