Train smarter for one of the most scenic and rewarding races in the country—the Half Distance Triathlon in Pennsylvania, held in beautiful Bald Eagle State Park. This 36-week training plan is built specifically for competitive Masters athletes ready to race with purpose and precision.

You’ll start with a 1.2-mile swim in the calm waters of Foster Joseph Sayers Lake (average temp 76°F/24°C), followed by a 56-mile ride through the rolling hills of Happy Valley, climbing over Hublers Ridge and Pleasant Gap, with sweeping views of central Pennsylvania farmland. The race finishes strong with a 13.1-mile run across the historic Penn State campus, passing landmarks like Old Main and the Nittany Lion Shrine, before your final push to the 50-yard line of Beaver Stadium (avg. air temp 78°F/26°C).
