Plan Description
This training plan is for a Half Distance or 70.3 distance triathlon. Athlete should have some basic fitness behind them and be able to swim comfortably for 500m in a pool.
A large portion of the training in this plan is time based, meaning there is a lot less pressure on the athlete to be covering a certain amount of distance in training sessions, but instead the athlete is to spend "time" on their feet. This will help them get a better feel for intensities and help an intermediate athlete get ready for a 70.3 Ironman Triathlon.
The training plan runs over 16 week, which allows us to build a little easier over time, hoping this will allow you to have some extra time to work on your fitness and endurance.
