Plan Description
Half Distance Triathlon Cartagena: Race Overview,
Swim Course – 1.2 Miles (1.9 km)
Athletes dive into the protected waters of Bahía de las Ánimas, enjoying calm Caribbean conditions with water temperatures around 80°F (28°C). Spectators can watch from the Convention Center, boardwalks, and city walls, creating an energetic atmosphere.
Bike Course – 56 Miles (90 km)
The fast and mostly flat bike course starts from the Cartagena Convention Center, passing through the historic Clock Tower and onto the Vía al Mar toward Barranquilla. Expect stunning coastal views, beaches, and mangroves, with opportunities for high-speed cycling.
Run Course – 13.1 Miles (21 km)
The two-loop run course winds through Cartagena’s Old City, featuring breathtaking Caribbean Sea views and colonial architecture. Athletes will run past colorful streets, historic landmarks, and finish at the iconic Torre del Reloj, experiencing the energy of roaring spectators.
