This Half Distance Triathlon training plan is meticulously crafted to match the demands of the Florida course—preparing you for every mile of Lake Eva’s calm swim, the rolling terrain of Polk County’s 56-mile ride, and the fast, flat half marathon through Lake Eva Park.

✅ Swim-Ready: With open water swim sessions and technique-focused drills, you’ll enter the freshwater lake confident and prepared. Ideal temps (75–80°F) mean wetsuit-legal comfort—your plan ensures you're dialed in for pacing, form, and sighting.

✅ Bike Strong in the Heat: The mostly flat bike route rewards efficiency—but Florida’s heat and humidity require smart adaptation. You’ll train with heart rate and power targets in place, including tempo and long endurance rides to simulate race-day intensity and conditions.

✅ Run Fast and Controlled: The smooth, neighborhood-based run is built for speed, but only if you’ve managed your pacing and hydration. Structured long runs, race-pace intervals, and brick workouts will have you flying through the 13.1 miles with confidence.

✅ Test Your Fitness Before Race Day: 🏁 Schedule “B” and “C” races to gain real-time experience, test gear, nutrition, and pacing. These checkpoint races give you valuable insights and motivation throughout your journey.
