This 36-week Half Distance Triathlon training plan is designed specifically to help you thrive on Florida’s unique course—from the calm waters of Lake Eva to the flat and fast roads of Polk County. Whether you're starting from scratch or building back fitness, every workout in this plan moves you closer to your finish line goal.

Kick off your journey with a gradual build-up of aerobic endurance—perfect for athletes with little to no recent mileage. This phase develops your stamina for Lake Eva’s warm, single-loop swim and primes you for Florida’s humid conditions.
✅ Structured 24-Week Half Distance Triathlon Training Block
Transition smoothly into race-specific training with a progressive workload—ramping from 7 to 12.5 hours/week. Ride-focused workouts prep you for Florida’s rolling bike course, helping you hold power and manage heat. Brick sessions and tempo runs sharpen your pace for the fast 13.1-mile run through Lake Eva Park.
✅ Open Water Swim Readiness
Practice key open water techniques early, including sighting and pacing drills—ensuring you feel confident and calm on race day.
✅ Strength and Speed Integration
From day one, targeted strength sessions reduce injury risk and build resilience. VO2 intervals and anaerobic threshold workouts add speed and durability by week 7.
🏁 Test Your Fitness with “B” and “C” Races
