🌴 Racing the Half Distance Triathlon in Acapulco, Mexico means preparing for a hot, hilly, and high-performance course—and this 36-week training plan is your complete roadmap to race day success.

🏊 Swim Start in Playa Majahua
With Acapulco’s warm 84°F (29°C) ocean waters and a rolling start, your swim demands efficient technique and heat conditioning. This plan builds your swim fitness from the ground up, with weekly sessions focused on open water skills, bilateral breathing, pacing, and form. By race day, you’ll glide confidently through the 1.9 km swim with energy to spare.

🚴 Rolling Hills and 1600m of Elevation
The bike course’s 600m climb out of T1 and 1,600m total elevation gain make strength and stamina essential.
