Dreaming of racing strong through the warm waters of Reef Island, powering past the Bahrain World Trade Centre on two wheels, and charging through the high-energy loops of Financial Harbour? Our 44-Week Beginner Half Distance Triathlon Training Plan is built to help you do just that—step by step, with confidence.

This course-specific plan prepares you for every element of the Bahrain Half Distance Triathlon:

🏊‍♂️ Swim – L-Shaped 1.9 km
Designed for open water success, our plan includes weekly swim workouts plus 📹 instructional video drills that improve technique and endurance in warm conditions—perfect for the 73°F (23°C) waters off Reef Island.

🚴 Bike – 90 km Flat and Fast
You'll build the strength and stamina needed to dominate Bahrain’s single-lap bike course with 🚴 structured RPE/heart rate sessions focused on sustained power, efficiency, and pacing.

🏃 Run – 21.1 km, 4-Loop Urban Run
Expect run sessions that include tempo work, V02 intervals, and threshold training—giving you the stamina and mental toughness to handle Bahrain’s four-loop course and soak up that incredible spectator energy.

🧱 Test Your Fitness with “B” and “C” Races
Strategically timed “C” races (low-pressure training events) and “B” races (key tune-up events) help you gain racing experience, track your progress, and build race-day confidence. We guide you through these checkpoints so you arrive at your A-race ready and resilient.
