Preparing for the Half Distance Triathlon Phu Quoc Vietnam is an exciting journey, and this specially designed Half Distance Triathlon training plan will guide you every step of the way. Whether it’s your first time or you’re building up your race experience, this plan helps you develop the strength, endurance, and skills needed to confidently tackle the swim, bike, and run segments of this stunning course.

🌊 The 1.9km swim starts at Three Coconut Tree Beach, following a triangle-shaped course in an anticlockwise direction before returning to the beachfront transition. You’ll focus on swim technique and open-water skills through easy-to-follow video drills and paced intervals to build your confidence in the water.

🚴‍♂️ The 90km bike course is a flat, two-lap route that highlights Phu Quoc’s breathtaking coastal views. Structured bike workouts based on heart rate and perceived effort will help you develop the endurance and pacing strategies you need to maintain speed and energy throughout.

🏃‍♂️ The 21.1km run features two loops along shaded roads and one of the island’s most beautiful seaside paths. Training includes tempo runs and threshold workouts designed to boost your stamina and prepare you for the sustained effort on race day.

Before you begin this plan, it’s important to build a solid aerobic base with 4 to 6 weeks of consistent, easy-paced training.
