The 36-Week Beginner Training Plan is expertly crafted to prepare you for the Half Distance Triathlon in Mossel Bay, one of South Africa’s most scenic and demanding coastal races. From the rolling sea swim between Santos and De Bakke beaches, to the hilly 90km bike ride with 1,020m of elevation, to the undulating 21.1km coastal run—this plan ensures you're ready to race with strength, confidence, and strategy.

✅ Swim Preparedness for Open Water Challenges
Train with structured sessions and technique-focused drills to handle the salty swells and rolling beach start. Wetsuit or not, you'll be confident in variable ocean temps (~19.1°C / 66°F).

✅ Bike Training for Hills and Endurance
Simulate the hilly out-and-back course to Uitkyk with focused climbing workouts and RPE/heart rate-based intensity control. Build the strength and stamina to manage long ascents and fast returns over 90km with 1,020m gain.
