Welcome to the Half Distance Triathlon in Happy Valley, Pennsylvania—an unforgettable race set in the heart of scenic Bald Eagle State Park. Your journey begins with a 1.2-mile swim in the calm, clean waters of Foster Joseph Sayers Lake (avg. 76°F / 24°C), followed by a 56-mile bike ride across the rolling terrain of Happy Valley, featuring climbs over Hublers Ridge and Pleasant Gap. Enjoy sweeping views of farmland before descending toward Penn State University.
The race finishes with a 13.1-mile run weaving through Penn State’s iconic campus, past landmarks like Old Main and the Nittany Lion Shrine, and culminates with a dramatic finish at the 50-yard line of Beaver Stadium (avg. air temp 78°F / 26°C).
