Ready to race the Half Distance Triathlon Bolton like never before? Whether it’s your first or your fastest, our 44-week advanced training plan is engineered to help you master the course and maximize your potential.

The Bolton Half Distance Triathlon challenges even seasoned triathletes:

🏊‍♂️ 1.2-mile (1.9 km) swim in Pennington Flash’s cool waters (~66°F/19°C),

🚴‍♂️ 56-mile (90 km) bike ride with two punishing loops and 840m of climbing,

🏃‍♂️ 13.1-mile (21.1 km) run through the heart of Bolton, with roaring crowds and a finish in front of Bolton Town Hall.

Our training plan is built for athletes like you—who want to show up fully prepared and race-ready. Here’s how it works:

✅ 12-Week Base Phase – Build aerobic endurance, mobility, and technique with no prior base required. Perfect for restarting or leveling up.

✅ 32-Week Specific Training – Hit every key training zone with our proven 3:1 method (3 weeks building, 1 week recovery). Progress steadily with purpose.

✅ Smart Weekly Schedule – Ranges from 9.5 to 14 hours/week, ramping up at the right pace to avoid burnout and optimize adaptation.

✅ Targeted for Amateur Advanced Athletes – Includes functional and conventional strength training, ideal for anyone ready to push limits smartly.

✅ Full-Spectrum Conditioning – Endurance Base, VO₂ Max, Threshold, Anaerobic Power, and ATP-PC sessions build raw speed, climbing strength, and race-day durability.
