Plan Description

The Half Distance Triathlon in Elsinore, Denmark, is one of the most scenic and historic races on the global triathlon calendar. With a 1.9 km (1.2 mile) swim in the storied Elsinore Harbour, right beside the legendary Kronborg Castle—Hamlet’s castle—you’ll start your journey with history beneath every stroke. The swim, typically 63°F (17°C), is crisp and invigorating.

🚴‍♀️ Next, you’ll take on a fast and rolling 90 km bike ride along Northern Sealand’s coastline. Designed for both speed and beauty, this two-lap course winds through the forest and coastal roads near Hornbæk, offering serene views and smooth terrain with minor climbs.

🏃‍♂️ Finally, the 21.1 km (13.1 mile) run loops 3.5 times around Kronborg Castle and through Elsinore’s vibrant town center, where thousands of cheering fans create an electrifying atmosphere that will carry you to the finish line.
