The Half Distance Triathlon Des Moines combines urban excitement with rural charm. From a fast, downstream swim to a rolling countryside bike course and a spirited run through scenic Forest Park, this event rewards disciplined, focused training. Our 36-week Half Distance Triathlon training plan is built to give serious athletes like you a competitive edge on race day.

The Connecticut River swim is one of the fastest in North America. Our plan includes technique-driven sessions and current-specific workouts to help you maximize speed in 67°F (19°C) water.
