🏁 Conquer the Half Distance Triathlon Eagleman with Strength and Strategy

Welcome to Cambridge, Maryland—home of the legendary Half Distance Triathlon Eagleman, where calm determination meets raw endurance. Your day begins with a 1.2-mile swim in the tidal waters of the Choptank River, starting and finishing at Gerry Boyle Park. You'll swim a counterclockwise rectangle, facing a tidal push on the way out and a swift current on your return—timing and technique are key.

Next, take on a flat 56-mile bike course with only 330 ft of elevation gain as you ride through Blackwater National Wildlife Refuge and rural country roads. While the terrain is forgiving, the winds are not—expect to face gusty crosswinds that test your focus and bike handling skills.

Finish strong with a 13.1-mile run along a double out-and-back route hugging the Choptank River and weaving through the quiet but lively Algonquin neighborhood. With temps averaging 80°F (27°C), pacing and hydration will be critical.
