Half Distance Triathlon Hawaii - Kohala Coast - Discover the exhilarating Half Distance Triathlon on Hawaii's breathtaking Kohala Coast. Starting at the scenic Pauoa Bay, located at the prestigious Fairmont Orchid Hotel, athletes kick off with a 1.2-mile swim in the crystal-clear Pacific Ocean, with water temperatures averaging 75ยฐF (24ยฐC).

The 56-mile bike course traces the iconic northern stretch of the IRONMAN World Championship route, weaving through Kohala's rolling hills and stark lava fields, offering unparalleled 360-degree island vistas.

The race concludes back at the Fairmont Orchid, followed by a captivating 13.1-mile run through the picturesque Mauna Lani Golf Course, lava fields, and Hoohana Road's scenic out-and-back, finishing at the stunning Honu Pointe.
