Designed specifically for this flat, fast, and scenic course, our 6-Month Advanced Training Plan gives you the structure, intensity, and purpose to help you perform at your best on race day.

The Half Distance Triathlon Gulf Coast is no ordinary race. You’ll begin with a 1.2-mile swim in the clear yet unpredictable waters of the Gulf of Mexico—where strong currents and marine life test your focus and resilience. After a beach run and quick transition, you'll take on a 56-mile bike ride through coastal roads and Pine Log State Forest, where steady pacing and strong aero positioning are key. Finally, the 13.1-mile run, one of the flattest on the circuit, demands strategic pacing and mental toughness to finish strong under the Florida sun.

Our Advanced Training Plan is built to match the unique demands of this race. Starting at 9.5 hours per week and peaking at 14, this progressive plan is crafted for experienced triathletes with a solid base of training.
