Whether you're brand new to triathlon or returning after a long break, our 36-week beginner triathlon training plan is built to take you from zero to the finish line—strong, confident, and ready to celebrate.
Florianópolis isn’t just a race—it’s an experience. The 1.9 km swim in the turquoise waters of Ingleses Beach, the rolling 90 km bike through scenic hills, and the 21.1 km run along the vibrant coastline and historic streets... it’s a course made for unforgettable firsts.
Here’s how this plan helps you get there:
✅ You Don't Need Experience—Just Heart
No need for a background in swimming, cycling, or running. We start with the basics and build up week by week. Just bring your determination—we’ll handle the rest.
✅ Learn to Swim with Confidence
You’ll start with technique-focused drills, video guidance, and structured sessions to help you feel at ease in open water. By race day, you’ll be ready for that first ocean swim.
✅ Build Strength and Endurance Gradually
We begin with 7 hours of training per week, scaling up safely to 12. Every session is based on effort and heart rate—so you train at the right intensity for your body.
✅ Feel Strong on the Bike and Run
The bike and run courses in Florianópolis are challenging yet breathtaking. This plan includes smart brick workouts (bike-to-run combos) that teach your body how to transition smoothly, so you finish with strength—not struggle.
