The Half Distance Triathlon Florianopolis Brazil is a unique challenge featuring a 1.9 km swim in the clear, cool waters of Ingleses Beach, a rolling 90 km bike course through mixed terrain, and a fast, scenic 21.1 km run along the coastline and historic city center. To succeed, you need a training plan that builds endurance, sharpens technique, and prepares you mentally and physically for every aspect of this race.

Our Half Distance Triathlon training plan is expertly designed for athletes who have completed a few triathlons and want to level up. Here’s how this plan prepares you to race your best in Florianopolis:

✅ Solid Endurance Foundation — Start with a strong base by building mileage that supports your swim, bike, and run endurance. This foundation is essential before beginning this plan to comfortably finish the swim loop and power through the bike’s rolling hills and flat sections.

✅ Gradual Volume Increase — Training begins at 8 hours per week and carefully increases to 12 hours, allowing your body to adapt safely while improving aerobic capacity and muscular endurance needed for the Half Distance Triathlon.
