From the calm but cool Corio Bay swim, to the 90km bike with rolling hills, and the 21.1km waterfront run, this course demands smart, progressive training—and that’s exactly what you get.

We start with a 12-week base training phase focused on building strength, conditioning, and technique—perfect for preparing your body for race-specific intensity. Then, a 32-week Half Iron training phase gradually ramps you up from 9.5 to 14 training hours per week.
