The 44-Week Advanced Training Plan is your ultimate tool to race strong and confidently at the Half Distance Campeche Triathlon—a course known for its warm waters, flat but hot bike and run segments, and stunning coastal views.

🌊 Swim-Ready Conditioning
The plan starts with a 12-week base phase, perfect for building swim endurance even if you’re starting from scratch. You'll refine your technique while gradually adapting to warmer water temperatures (82°F / 28°C)—mirroring conditions at Bonita Beach in Campeche.

🚴 Bike Power for the Coastal Course
The 32-week specialized plan incorporates progressive aerobic base and VO2 max cycling sessions, ideal for handling the fast, flat 56-mile bike course along Malecon Ave. and Merida Highway. With peak weekly training hitting 14 hours, you’ll develop the power and stamina needed for sustained speed in high heat.

🏃 Run Resilience for the Heat
With a 3/1 training-to-recovery format, this plan emphasizes anaerobic threshold and ATP-PC training, which are key for maintaining pace across Campeche’s three-loop, 13.1-mile run under 95°F (35°C) heat. Strategic heat-adaptation and endurance training help you stay strong to the Sea Gate finish.
