Plan Description

This is a 2 week programme to help you get the best recovery after you have completed your 70.3m long distance triathlon. This plan will also work for any other triathlon where you have been racing for over 5-8 hours.
The goal is to enable you to be ready to return a full week of training after 2 weeks.

WHY YOU NEED GOOD RECOVERY
Everyone recovers at a different rate and you might even recover differently to the last time you raced this distance. A lot depends upon what happened before during and after your event.
Also - age, gender, muscle bulk, training history etc all have some influence.
The key points are that events of this duration need good recovery. Often folks think about muscle soreness and while this will disappear reasonably quickly, other systems such as central nervous system take longer to repair.
