Prepare to race strong and finish proud at the Half Distance Triathlon Knokke Heist—an unforgettable cross-border experience featuring a smooth, wave-free swim in the Damsche Vaart, a fast, scenic 90 km bike through Flanders and the Netherlands, and an energetic beachside run through the heart of Knokke-Heist.

This 24-week Intermediate Triathlon Training Plan is expertly designed to help you peak on race day. Starting at 8 hours per week and building to a max of around 12 hours, the plan blends proven endurance-building techniques with targeted workouts specific to the course in Belgium.

Build comfort and confidence with structured open-water swim sets and pacing drills—perfect for the tidal-free, 1.9 km canal swim in Sluis.

You’ll progress through race-specific tempo rides, long endurance sessions, and integrated brick workouts that simulate the Knokke-Heist bike leg’s steady rhythm and flat terrain.

Three-loop run simulations and aerobic intervals prepare you to pace and perform over 21.1 km of cheering crowds and sea breezes along the Zeedijk.
