Plan Description

Half DIST Knokke-Heist, Belgium, where the athletes come to test their mettle against the challenging course and unpredictable weather.

The swim takes place in the North Sea, which can be quite temperamental, but fear not, the water temperature is typically around 18-20°C. There will be a rolling start from the beach, before swimming 1.9 km in a clockwise direction around buoys. The views of the coastline and the Knokke-Heist skyline are simply stunning, so don't forget to take a quick look up before you dive back in.

BIKE - A 90 km route that winds through the scenic countryside of Flanders. Be prepared for some leg-burning climbs, especially at the start, but the breathtaking views of windmills and fields of sunflowers make it all worthwhile. The course includes a mix of technical descents, rolling hills, and flat stretches that will keep you on your toes.

RUN - A 21.1 km out-and-back route that takes the athletes along the coast and through the charming town of Knokke-Heist. You'll enjoy a mix of surfaces, including pavement, gravel, and sand. Keep an eye out for the cheering crowds, who will be sure to give you that extra boost you need to cross the finish line.

WEATHER - Knokke-Heist, Belgium, is known for its unpredictable weather. You might encounter sunny skies and warm temperatures one minute and a sudden gust of wind and rain the next. So, be sure to pack for all eventualities and keep a close eye on the forecast.
