Plan Description

This GTN plan has been designed by ex-professional triathlete, Jodie Swallow, for someone coming from a swimming background targeting the half-distance triathlon.
This means you may have been a club swimmer in your youth, or are currently a fit swimmer.

The plan will aim to maintain this aerobic base fitness in swimming, whilst also preparing you for the slight changes required for triathlon.
Over the course of the 12-weeks, we’ll be introducing you to bike and run workouts that will condition and prepare you for the event.

The plan is designed around a 4-week cycle, with a recovery week in that final week, as well as additional rest days throughout.

If you’re using a Heart Rate monitor or Power Meter, great. All this data can be great to log, and analyse within training peaks. However, none of this is essential. Every workout is explained with multiple options, including Rating of Perceived Exertion 
This is a rating of 1-10; 1 being easy, 10 being hard.

By following this plan you will arrive at the event feeling confident that you can cover the distance comfortably.
